We recently recorded an hour of music for CFRH 88.1, Radio Canada. It's dance music for Covid-19! The fiddle and accordion are typical of traditional Metis music in our area of Southern Georgian bay. This a French station, so along with instrumentals you'll hear some French songs. Enjoy!
When we perform in French we are "La Cheminee rouge."
Performing in English with some French songs, we are the "Red Hot Stove Pipe Band."

We've been busy this past year with some projects like our Labatte Homestead Rendezvous. This is really a community grassroots event. Thanks to financial assistance from the MacNamara Foundation and the Georgian Bay Metis Council.
A highlight was the production of a book on the story of the Louis Riel accordion. This was presented to the Metis Nation of Ontario and the Peterborough Museum and Archives.
We look forward to another busy year.
We were thrilled when a google search produced a page where our band appeared in some amazing company. Check it out............
